What makes a person look like themselves? I am discovering that it is SUCH a difficult nuance to capture! This is supposed to be the daughter of a friend, and although it's a lovely drawing with some similarities to the real deal....it's not HER. It's just a cute little girl.
So hats off to those who manage to nail a likeness! I am in awe of you!
I just read a book called "William" by Irene Hunt and one of the main characters is a teenage girl who loves to capture people's personalities in portraits she paints of them. If she was a real person she may have some tips for you!
